Cantonment Act 1924 obligates Cantonment Board to provide basic health services to all the citizens residing within the Cantonment. For this purpose, Cantonment Board has established a Cantonment dispensary which is functioning for more than 10 years to cater to the basic health needs of residents of the Cantonment, employees of the Cantonment Board and nearby areas of the Cantonment where no basic medical facility of comparison exists. This dispensary provides basic medical facilities to all the Civilians as well as Defence Civilians of Almora Cantonment. The emergency cases those are beyond the scope of the dispensary referred to district hospital which is 2km away from Almora Cantt  after being stabilized.

The dispensary has a general OPD for 07 hours (Timing 08:00 AM TO 03:00 PM) on daily basis except Sunday.
